services : marketing

Marketing equals results. This one principle drives Cahoon & Cross to learn everything we can about your business, your market, your customers. Not just from you, but from independent sources, customer interviews, and industry experts.

The fact-finding doesn’t take long. With our experience, we know most marketing efforts are on a deadline. But after the research phase, the planning process is where we put the knowledge we gather together with our years of experience. During the planning process, C&C works with the client to inform the creative process so that messages are on target. And we explore opportunities for promotions, affinity partnerships, multicultural marketing, and new marketing channels.

The result is a marketing plan with well-defined and carefully targeted tactics that work together to move your organization closer to the results you seek. Every campaign is tracked and evaluated to see how hard – and how well – it hits the target. If any part of the program fails to deliver, we can find out why and revise the plan “on the fly” to improve results.

General von Clausewitz, a brilliant tactician, once said, “No plan ever survives contact with the enemy.” We agree. That’s why C&C recommends reviewing the marketing plan at least twice each year, to see how well it’s doing and make changes or additions.

Finally, C&C doesn’t work well in a vacuum (for one thing, it’s hard to breathe). We want to be a part of your team – either working with your company’s marketing department or as a member of your in-house marketing group. Complete confidentiality is assured.

Research

Research is an important part of what C&C does – gathering information to gain a better understanding or a client’s business or market. Often, we use our experienced in-house resources. But we also regularly bring in outside experts to conduct special research for individual clients.

Our research capabilities and experience include:

  • Telephone surveys
  • Community assessments
  • Focus group studies
  • Social marketing research
  • Claritas PRIZM analysis
  • Geo-demographic research
  • Advertising effectiveness studies
