Alley Cat Allies

Helping create awareness and compassion for feral cats was a project Cahoon & Cross embraced with determination. Alley Cat Allies (ACA) looked to Cahoon & Cross to help build its brand through educational messaging and targeted collateral aimed at promoting advocacy and humane treatment of the nation's thousands of feral cats. To reach all possible audiences, selective brochures and mailers were translated into numerous different languages and a new website in support of National Feral Cat Day was launched.

Alzheimer's Association

To generate awareness of a series of Memory Walk events for the Alzheimer's Association's Southeastern Virginia Chapter, Cahoon & Cross conducted a pro bono media relations and outreach campaign to help raise funds for local programs and critcally needed research, while encouraging people to feel comfortable about discussing the disease. The Alzheimer's Association reports the campaign resulted in the most successful Memory Walk promotion ever-with more than $368,500 raised, 2,694 participants for all the walks combined and $80,000 in ad value for the media relations campaign. This spring the Public Relations Society of America's Hampton Roads Chapter recognized Cahoon & Cross with its Pinnacle Award for the media relations program conducted for this promotion.

Cross Realty

As a revered real estate agency known throughout the Hampton Roads area, understandably it was a delicate task to rebrand Cross Realty without losing the look and feel that had been so widely recognizable. Cahoon & Cross disassembled what had made Cross Realty a success and modernized those pieces, bringing the best of the best together to rebrand this well respected business, including expanding its reach by launching a new, functional website that allows customers to search for homes at their convenience. From a new logo to new marketing strategy, Cross Realty trusted us to do what they had not done in their more than 60 years of business. Now that's trust. callcrossrealty.com

HRPDC

It's common. One division with four separate committees often does not equal cohesion. When the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission wanted to bring unity among its branches and highlight its emphasis on environmental change, Cahoon & Cross was chosen as the agency to lead the transformation. With an eye on research and public opinion, we detailed messaging and imagery that reflected the overall mission of HRPDC to include the offerings of its units. Our plans included starting a blog, launching a new website, creating a presence on social media sites and deploying traditional marketing campaigns such as radio, online and television. Incorporating fundamentals of marketing with public relations garnered exceptional results for the first phase of this project. askhrgreen.org | askhrgreen.org/blog
